Salamanca Teacher accused of sexually abusing two students

    Now that courts are opening again, two lawsuits have been filed by two former students of  the Salamanca City School District. The law suits have been filed in state Supreme Court in Cattaraugus County alleging a teacher sexually abused them. Second alleged victim of Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio accuses priest of sex abuse

      Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, has been accused for a second time of sexually abusing a man while he was the Bishop of Camden back in the 1970’s and 80’s. DiMarzio, who now leads the Diocese of Brooklyn, has denied the claim. “There is absolutely no truth to the allegation,” the bishop said Thursday. “I deny this outrageous and libelous claim.” Both of DiMarzio’s accusers have said that  they were sexually assaulted as children in two separate parishes in Jersey City. Girl Scout Leader arrested for allegedly sexually abusing young girls

    A Girl Scout co-leader in North Tonawanda and his wife have been charged in connection with the sexual abuse of two young children, according to a police report. Police reported that Marty and Shani Walton, a volunteer for the organization,  were virtually arraigned in Niagara County Court on charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. St Cloud Diocese settles lawsuit filed by adult victims of childhood sex abuse by clergy

    The Catholic Diocese of St. Cloud has settled a law suit for accusations of clergy sex abuse.  The $22.5 million  settlement by the diocese is meant to compensate the sex abuse survivors accusing priests of molesting them decades ago. Boy Scouts Victims of Sex abuse have until November 16 to file suits amid Bankruptcy filing

    Victims of child sex abuse  by the Boy Scouts of America now have a November deadline to file claims. “At a time when millions of Americans are unemployed and preoccupied with basic survival, sexual abuse survivors need and are entitled to a reasonable period of time after they receive notice from the bankruptcy Court to reflect seriously and make a decision whether to file a claim in this case,” representatives for  victims committee wrote in a court filing.  Boy Scouts have filed for bankruptcy and had initially proposed a deadline of 80 days after notice of the claims […]

Philadelphia Archdiocese to pay $126 to sex abuse victims in order to prevent civil suits

      The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia Independent Reconciliation and Reparations Program which was set up in 2018 to pay settlements of 615 sex absue claims  said  it expects to pay $126 million to sexual-abuse victims under the reparations program. This averages to be about $211,000 per claim which is the average of what other dioceses have been paying under such programs. New Orleans Archdiocese to File for Bankruptcy amid high costs of sexual abuse allegations

    This week, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans announced it will file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection due to the growing legal costs related to sexual abuse by priests. The filing could free the Archdiocese from creditors lawsuits and give it time to reorganize its finances.  The New Orleans archdiocese is the latest of more than 20 dioceses nationwide to take such action. Award winning Master teacher in Hula accused of sexually abusing young students in the 1990’s

      Award-winning kumu hula Howell “Chinky” Mahoe Jr. of Halau Hula O Kawaili’ula is among one of the several sexual abuse lawsuits filed this week amid claims of child sex abuse dating  back to the 1990s . Elementary school teacher arrested for sexual misconduct with students under age 7

    Jonathan Clayton, 27, a Stockholm supply teacher has been sentenced to eight and a half years for sexually assaulting his pupils. Clayton, a teacher at a North Yorkshire primary school was found guilty of 13 sexual assaults on six girls, ages 7-11. He claims that he only helped them  get dressed – even though they could do it themselves – in addition to  letting them sit on his knee and hugging them . MMA star suing Former Basketball coach of sexual abuse while she was a minor and student at the Hawaii school

    Two former Punahou School student-athletes  and MMA flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane accused the Institutions prior basketball coach of sexually abusing them when they were student athletes attending the Hawaii school.   “He definitely groomed us,” said Macfarlane.
