John C. Sapp Jr., Church Youth Leader, indicted on multiple counts of child sex abuse

  John C. Sapp Jr., the 34-year-old lead pastor at  Maranatha Fellowship church,  has been indicted on 89 charges after he allegedly had sexual relationships with two teenage girls who were members of a church youth group. Sapp Jr. had  been leading the youth group for the past three years. most of the sexual encounters took place in the church and church youth group outings.  According to court documents, Sapp was at his house with his wife when he confessed to “inappropriately touching” a girl. Lawsuit against Rev. Darvin Salazar and Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph accusing Priest cover up of sex abuse of minors

  A civil suit was filed this week alleging that The Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph covered up sex abuse of minors involving two priests. The suit claims that the diocese knew of the abuse and still allowed the priests access to sexually abuse vulnerable children. “No one can wish this continuing crisis away,” said David Clohessy, former executive director of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests,  “It takes courageous action to expose and remove sick clerics. Gary Carr, Former Springfield Priest accused of sexually abusing boys 30 years ago.

  This week, the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, announced three new child sex abuse allegations against Gary Carr, a former Springfield priest. Now 66,  Gary Carr has already been credibly accused of sexually abusing a boy between the ages of 10 and 13 in Missouri nearly 30 years ago. Pastor of Charlotte’s St. Matthew Catholic Church on administrative leave due to child sex abuse allegations

  The pastor of Charlotte’s St. Matthew Catholic Church, which is one of the nation’s largest parishes, is no longer on active ministry after sex abuse allegations dating back decades have been brought to surface.   Father Patrick Hoare will remain out of active ministry and on administrative leave after receiving an allegation of child sexual abuse that was said to have occurred in Pennsylvania more than two decades ago.   In Philadelphia, the Abington Township Police Department  investigated the sexual abuse allegation, along with a similar claim of abuse in Pennsylvania. Former Deacon George Brignac died prior to trial of alleged sex abuse of young boy in 1970’s

  Former Deacon George Brignac was awaiting trial on a rape charge when he died last week, halting a trial. Brignac was one of 15 priests credibly accused of sexual abuse dating back when he worked at Our Lady of the Rosary in New Orleans in the 1970s. “These men are aging, and we don’t want them to age out of being punished for sex crimes … against children,” said Kevin Bourgeois, with the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. Diocese of Greensburg named in lawsuit where Priest accused of sexually abusing young boys in the 90’s

    A man is suing the Diocese of Greensburg and Bishop Edward Malesic for alleged sexual abuse when he was a child. The man, now age 40, claims in the lawsuit that the Rev. Joseph L. Sredzinski began abusing him in 1991 when he was 11 years old and continued until he was 17. Woman suing school under the Child Victims Act decades after alleged sex abuse

  A woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by a janitor  while she was a student at the prestigious Horace Mann Elementary School in Binghamton is now filing a lawsuit 33 years later, under New York’s Child Victims Act.  According to the lawsuit, which was filed Friday in the state Supreme Court of Broome County, the abuse happened while she was in first grade back in 1987.   In the lawsuit, the girl said she was  approached by a janitorial employee — who was not named  in court records — inside the school building, then taken to a house about […]

Salamanca Teacher accused of sexually abusing two students

  Now that courts are opening again, two lawsuits have been filed by two former students of  the Salamanca City School District. The law suits have been filed in state Supreme Court in Cattaraugus County alleging a teacher sexually abused them. Second alleged victim of Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio accuses priest of sex abuse

    Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, has been accused for a second time of sexually abusing a man while he was the Bishop of Camden back in the 1970’s and 80’s. DiMarzio, who now leads the Diocese of Brooklyn, has denied the claim. “There is absolutely no truth to the allegation,” the bishop said Thursday. “I deny this outrageous and libelous claim.” Both of DiMarzio’s accusers have said that  they were sexually assaulted as children in two separate parishes in Jersey City. Girl Scout Leader arrested for allegedly sexually abusing young girls

  A Girl Scout co-leader in North Tonawanda and his wife have been charged in connection with the sexual abuse of two young children, according to a police report. Police reported that Marty and Shani Walton, a volunteer for the organization,  were virtually arraigned in Niagara County Court on charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
