U.S. wants tech giants to do more to fight online child sex abuse by introducing EARN IT Act

Channel 4 News WASHINGTON, D.C. – There are new efforts to fight get online child sex abuse. The Department of Justice announced a new initiative called the EARN IT Act. It will ensure tech companies do more to keep children safe online. Former Our Lady of Mount Carmel students accuse old basketball coach of sexual abuse

(NEWS 12 – Bronx, NY) Five former students at Our Lady of Mount Carmel have filed lawsuits against the school and the Archdiocese of New York. The students claim that former basketball coach Rudy Tremaroli sexually abused them over the span of 15 years. Tremaroli is now dead. They also claim that school administrators and religious leaders failed to act when notified of the crime. The lawsuits were filed by Herman Law under the Child Victims Act. On August 14th, a one-year, one-time-only period will begin to allow all victims of childhood sexual abuse in New York to seek civil action, regardless of how old the victim is or how long ago the abuse occurred. Man With Limp Sexually Abused Unconscious Woman in New York Hospital: NYPD

According to NBC New York, police in the Bronx are on the hunt for a man they say sexually attacked an unconscious hospital patient in her room. The 50-something-year-old suspect sneaked into a Lincoln Hospital room belonging to a 68-year-old woman and sexually abused her on Monday, according to the NYPD. He then quickly fled. Cops in Mott Haven released a surveillance video of the suspect inside a hospital elevator. Sources say the victim’s roommate witnessed the attack. Two teenage boys charged in bathroom sex abuse at a Brooklyn school

Two teen boys sexually abused a 17-year-old girl with a learning disability in a Brooklyn school bathroom while other students watched, reports the New York Daily News. The victim was lured to the bathroom by a 13-year-old boy who told her that her teacher wanted to see her.
