Roman Catholic Diocese of Allentown Priests accused of sexually abusing kids dating back to the 1970’s

  Timothy Paul McGettigan, from Texas  claims he was sexually abused and tortured by several priests in a church basement in the 1970s. He is suing the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allentown and one of its churches, St. Catharine of Siena in Reading. The 2018 Pennsylvania grand jury report exposed the Allentown Diocese priests of unreported sexual abuse by clergy across the state, which is what gave McGettigan the idea to come forward., once he realized he was not the only victim. Poland’s Roman Catholic Church asks Vatican to investigate sex abuse spanning decades

  Archbishop Wojciech Polak, the head of Poland’s Roman Catholic Church,  is asking the Vatican to investigate the cover-up of child sexual abuse by priests after the release of a documentary on the subject this weekend. The film is about the story of two brothers who want to confront a priest who allegedly abused them when they were children. The Vatican is expected to assign an investigator to the case. State Supreme Court justice ruled the New York’s Child Victims Act constitutional

  Yesterday, A state Supreme Court justice ruled the New York’s Child Victims Act constitutional. The CVA, which has given survivors of sexual abuse that were previously not able to file civil suit due to statute of limitations restrictions, an opportunity to file decades-old complaints against their alleged offenders. The CVA is a window to file a civil case. Former tutor admits to having sexual relationship with teenager while she was his student

  A former member of the faculty of  Natrona County School District has admitted to sexually abusing a girl back in July 2016.The accused, Jason G. Waugaman, has  pleaded guilty to third-degree sexual abuse of a minor in Natrona County District Court  via video conference since he could not appear in person due to COVID-19 restrictions. Waugaman accepted a plea agreement  to serve six to twelve  years in prison even though two second degree sexual abuse of a minor charges have been dropped. New Hope for victims of child sex abuse as Child Victims Act window extended

The state of New York’s court system has made an exception, which will take place in the next few weeks, to allow new filings of childhood sex abuse cases under the Child Victims Act. During his daily coronavirus briefing on Friday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the window for people to file lawsuits regarding the Child Victims Act has been extended to January. “We will not deny those litigants the ability to file,” the spokesman, Lucian Chalfen, said in an email. Assistant Principal of Day Care in El Dorado arrested amid allegations of child sex abuse

  A day care worker in El Dorado has been arrested under a child sex abuse investigation.   The sexual abuse allegedly happened approximately five years ago at EduCare Daycare Center on the Butler Community College campus in El Dorado but police reports were not made until this week. During the investigation the assistant director of the day care,  Brent Martin, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated indecent liberties with a child. Diocese of Buffalo denied small business loan amid sex abuse allegations

  The Buffalo Diocese, informed 23 Buffalo priests that they will no longer receive health care as part of bankruptcy negotiations. The priests have been suspended  due to substantiated sex abuse allegations. As of May 1, the 23 Buffalo priests that have been on leave because of abuse claims have been informed by Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger  that thier regular checks from the diocese would stop. Bellator champ Ilima-Lei Macfarlane Sues Coach for sexually abusing her and her sister when she was a student at the school

   Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Belabor women’s flyweight champion and her sister Mahina Macfarlane Souza along with an unnamed woman just filed a civil lawsuit last Wednesday accusing a former assistant basketball coach, Dwayne Yuen, of sexually abusing them when they were just 12 years old.  Dwayne Yuen was a coach at a Hawaii private school and allegedly sexually abused the women when they were students at Honolulu’s Punahou School between 2003 and 2006, beginning when Ilima-Lei was just 12 years old. Two weeks jail for Principal who did not report sexual abuse of students by teacher

  Eric Nelson, 49, former principal at Fontenelle Elementary was sentenced to just 2 weeks in jail and only 1 year probation for not reporting what he knew about a teacher who was sexually abusing students during his time as Principal.  He pleaded no contest to  “Failure to Report Suspected Abuse” a misdemeanor and one count of felony child abuse was dropped. First grade teacher Gregory Sedlacek, has been convicted of sexually assaulting female students inside the classroom and on the playground. Priest released from prison due to COVID -19 prior to serving 10 year sentence for child sex abuse caseus uproar in community of survivors

  Michael Guidry, a priest who was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with three years suspended, after pleading guilty to molestation of a child has been released from prison.
