Hillsboro Fire and Rescue under fire for alleged child sex abuse by former Lieutenant

  Child sex abuse charges have been brought against  48-year-old Steven Michael Klaus, a  Hillsboro Fire & Rescue lieutenant. The initial charges against Klaus include five counts of first-degree sex abuse and two counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration. Klaus’ alleged crimes allegedly occurred over a six-year period starting in 2010 when the minor was under the age of 12. Catholic Diocese of Rochester, Bishop Emeritus Matthew Clark admits reassigning priests after allegations of sex abuse

  In part of bankruptcy proceedings for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester, Bishop Emeritus Matthew Clark,  has admitted under oath that priests who have been accused of sex abuse in the past were still allowed to continue to serve in ministry.  Bishop Clark was asked about  50 + priests who were accused of sexual abuse of children.  Some priests he claimed he did not remember, but he did admit to sending Rev. Former Deacon George Brignac died prior to trial of alleged sex abuse of young boy in 1970’s

  Former Deacon George Brignac was awaiting trial on a rape charge when he died last week, halting a trial. Brignac was one of 15 priests credibly accused of sexual abuse dating back when he worked at Our Lady of the Rosary in New Orleans in the 1970s. “These men are aging, and we don’t want them to age out of being punished for sex crimes … against children,” said Kevin Bourgeois, with the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests. Several sex abuse lawsuits filed under Child Victims Act against Catholic priests in the Diocese of Ogdensburg

  Over 20 adult victims of child sex abuse by Catholic Priests have filed lawsuits under the Child Victims Act, which is an Act that allows victims to sue no matter how long ago the abuse occurred. These lawsuits  claim abuse by several Catholic priests in the Diocese of Ogdensburg, which includes the North Country.  For the first time, there are 7 priests named, who worked during periods spanning between 1961- 1989,  including clerics who served in Malone, Dannemora, Lowville, Massena, Schroon Lake, Parishville, Potsdam, and Crown Point. Diocese of Greensburg named in lawsuit where Priest accused of sexually abusing young boys in the 90’s

    A man is suing the Diocese of Greensburg and Bishop Edward Malesic for alleged sexual abuse when he was a child. The man, now age 40, claims in the lawsuit that the Rev. Joseph L. Sredzinski began abusing him in 1991 when he was 11 years old and continued until he was 17. Buddhist leader accused of sexually abusing young girls

  Michael Smith, a  former member of a Colorado Shambhala Buddhist center has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing at least one child.  In March, the 55-year-old  pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and attempted sexual assault on a child. In addition to the 20 year sentence, a Boulder district judge also gave a three-year prison sentence for attempted sex assault. Tony Brown Sr., House Of Montessori Education Day Care employee charged with molesting two children under age 10

  Tony Brown Sr., 63, has been charged with statutory sodomy and five counts of child molestation after police reported that he molested two girls under the age of 10 at House Of Montessori Education, a south St. Louis day care facility where he was employed.   Brown was working at the day care at 7814 South Broadway when he allegedly molested the girls.  Brown inappropriately touched one of the girls  and forced her to touch him inappropriately over his clothing, according to the probable cause statement. Girl Scout Leader accused of molesting two female scouts ages 8 and 9

    A Girl Scout troop co-leader is accused of accused of sexually abusing two children and has been arraigned in Amherst Town Court last week. This is the second arraignment for Troop leader Marty Walton, 31, who is currently facing similar charges back in May in Niagara County from a charge of child sexual abuse.  The victims alleging the abuse in that investigation are minors, ages eight and nine years old. Three former priests accused of child sex abuse dating back decades

  Three former priests at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church and Catholic Central High School are accused of sexually abusing kids in  the 1970’s. the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse is named as a defendant in a lawsuit. The victim, who is now 61 years-old, claims he suffered severe physical and psychological abuse leading to severe depression, migraines, PTSD, and anxiety. Documentary exposes Cover up of Clergy sex abuse of minors

  Archbishop Wojciech Polak, the head of Poland’s Roman Catholic Church has said he is asking the Vatican to investigate the cover-up of child sexual abuse by priests following the release of a documentary on the subject on Saturday. The film tells the story of two brothers who try to confront a priest who allegedly abused them when they were children. The Vatican is expected to assign an investigator to the case.
