Insurance company representing Diocese of Brooklyn claims issues on paying settlement to sex abuse victims

    The Diocese of Brooklyn is represented by an insurance company that claims it should not be responsible for any payments to the victims who were sexually abused by the Diocese’s priests.  The  federal lawsuit  was filed this week and the insurance company, Arrowood Indemnity Company, has asked  the court to rule that it should not be obligated to indemnify the Diocese or defend them. Father Woody added to list of credibly accused of sexually molesting children

    Father C.B. Woodrich, also referred to as “Father Woody”, was well known  in the Catholic church for his charitable work with the homeless. He is now also well known for allegedly sexually abusing three young  boys in the 1970s and 1980s. “Father Woody,” is now on the list of credibly accused priests who have sexually bused children decades ago. Cardinal Vincent Nichols allegedly ignored child sex abuse claims

    Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the leader of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, was asked by Pope Francis  to remain in his post, regardless of a report that claimed he ignored allegations of child sex abuse during his leadership. Investigation of Theodore McCarrick alleged child sexual abuse reported to Pope John Paul II; yet still promoted to highest official

  An  internal investigation conducted by the Vatican alleging that the late Pope John Paul II was warned about allegations that Theodore McCarrick sexually abused children was just disclosed to the public today. Three Former Priests settle lawsuit offering millions to adult victims of child sex abuse from decades ago

    Three former Massachusetts priests, Fr. Sylvio Ruest, Fr. John Salvucci and Fr. T. Raymond Sullivan, who were charged with child abuse have settled a lawsuit this week that will give millions to the victims. Decades ago these priests served in churches in Bellingham, Billerica and Dracut. Fr. Father Andrew Kawecki and Father Emil Payer added to list of priests who are credibly accused sex abuse offenders

    Two more Diocese of Greensburg priests have been charged with child sex abuse dating back decades.  One of the priests, Father Andrew Kawecki, now 65, who since 1980,  has served in 15 Greensburg Diocese parishes, is charged with sex abuse  against a minor over the course of several years in Fairchance, Fayette County. Lawsuit against Rev. Darvin Salazar and Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph accusing Priest cover up of sex abuse of minors

    A civil suit was filed this week alleging that The Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph covered up sex abuse of minors involving two priests. Catholic Diocese of Rochester, Bishop Emeritus Matthew Clark admits reassigning priests after allegations of sex abuse

    In part of bankruptcy proceedings for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester, Bishop Emeritus Matthew Clark,  has admitted under oath that priests who have been accused of sex abuse in the past were still allowed to continue to serve in ministry.  Bishop Clark was asked about  50 + priests who were accused of sexual abuse of children.  Some priests he claimed he did not remember, but he did admit to sending Rev.
