Former Catholic High School Coach accused of sexually abusing student more than 50 years ago

    A  lawsuit filed under the Child Victims Act last month in the state Supreme Court of Broome County claims a former Seton Catholic High School in Endicott sexually abused a child more than two dozen times back in the early 1970’s. Former Coach Vincent Dutkowski, who died in 2012, is accused of leveraging  his position to gain the victim’s trust and confidence before abusing him. Former Edison High School student claims teacher abused him in the 1980’s

  Under the Child Victims Act, a former Edison High School student is suing The township Board of Education claiming he was sexually abused by a teacher in the 1980s. The suit, filed in Superior Court last week, alleges that the school board “failed to take reasonable steps” to protect the student from the abuse. ITh suit claims that the shop teacher Frederick Burkley, from 1983 to 1985, “groomed” the student “to gain his trust and to obtain control over him” as part of a plan to sexually molest and abuse him. Lawsuit against USA Swimming claims decades of sex abuse went unreported

  In 1980, Debbie Denithorne was just an 11-years old  Olympic swimmer hopeful when she began training under coach Andy King. “I could be an elite swimmer, perhaps an Olympian,” Denithorne remembered King telling her parents. “This was wonderful news because I had dreamed of being an Olympian, and it legitimized that dream because Andy King had coached Olympians.” King allegedly began grooming Denithorne into a sexual relationship shortly after she started training with him at San Ramon Valley Aquatics. Bellator champ Ilima-Lei Macfarlane Sues Coach for sexually abusing her and her sister when she was a student at the school

   Ilima-Lei Macfarlane, Belabor women’s flyweight champion and her sister Mahina Macfarlane Souza along with an unnamed woman just filed a civil lawsuit last Wednesday accusing a former assistant basketball coach, Dwayne Yuen, of sexually abusing them when they were just 12 years old.  Dwayne Yuen was a coach at a Hawaii private school and allegedly sexually abused the women when they were students at Honolulu’s Punahou School between 2003 and 2006, beginning when Ilima-Lei was just 12 years old. MMA star suing Former Basketball coach of sexual abuse while she was a minor and student at the Hawaii school

  Two former Punahou School student-athletes  and MMA flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane accused the Institutions prior basketball coach of sexually abusing them when they were student athletes attending the Hawaii school.   “He definitely groomed us,” said Macfarlane. Track coach pleads not guilty of sexually abusing two teenage girls at Pasadena High School

    Pierre Jonas Hernandez, a former A former South Pasadena High School track coach pleaded no contest to charges of molesting a 16-year-old student, officials said Friday. According to a statement by Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Sarah Ardalani, Hernandez, age 33, was charged with  misdemeanor charges of sexual battery and child molestation during his trial last week, Alhambra Superior Court Judge Jon Takasugi sentenced Hernandez Friday to 180 days in jail, to be served by electronic monitoring, five years of summary probation and 30 days of community service, Ardalani said. Man serving just 6 years in prison for sexually abusing over 18 boys in Maple Leaf Garden Arena scandal has died

  Gordon Stuckless , who was the man known as the sex abuse predator in the Maple Leaf Gardens sexual abuse scandal has died  from a brain hemorrhage. Stuckless, wh owas in his early 70’s, was sentenced back  in 2016 to 6 1/2 years in prison, which included his time on house arrest. He was accused of over  100 offenses of sexual abuse of 18 boys over the course of three decades. Penn State violated law to protect students for sexual harassment 8 years after Sandusky scandal

  Thursday, the U.S. Department of Education announced that Pennsylvania State University has to make major changes even now, eight years after the Sandusky sex abuse scandal. The school failed to protect students from Jerry Sandusky, a  former assistant football coach at the university, who was convicted in 2012 of sexually abusing young boys  and is currently serving a 30-60 year prison sentence.    The U.S. Department of Education  said its Office for Civil Rights (OCR) began an investigation in 2014 and found that Penn State’s procedures and policies for investigation and resolving allegations of sexual abuse and sexual harassment still […]

Olympic track athletes allege sex abuse with their coach

Erin Aldrich, a former Olympic high jumper, claims that her coach, John Rembao started the grooming process (luring her into a sexual relationship)   when she was just 16. She claims that Rembao physically took advantage of her two years later.
