Rev. Msgr. Antoine Attea, now deceased, named in lawsuit accusing him of child sex abuse decades ago.

Rev. Msgr. Antoine Attea,  a  former Jamestown pastor, has been named in a lawsuit under the Child Victims Act. Attea died in a 2007 plane crash at Chautauqua County Airport. The lawsuit, filed in Erie County, claims that the Rev. Msgr. Antoine Attea abused a male victim, a young boy at the time, while serving at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Jamestown. The victim, who remained anonymous and filed under JohnDoe,  claims that Attea “engaged in unpermitted, forcible and harmful sexual contact” with him when he was 12 years old, on the church’s premises in 1997. “Msgr. Vincent Dutkowski, former basketball Coach at Seton Catholic High School accused of sex abuse decades ago

Vincent Dutkowski, a former basketball Coach at Seton Catholic High School in Endicott, who is now deceased, has been accused of sexually abusing a student when he worked there in the 1970’s. Vincent Dutkowski has been named in four more lawsuits that have been filed  in the state Supreme Court of New York,  accusing  him of sexually abusing students  when he was employed at another Catholic School, Our Lady of Lourdes High Schoo, in Poughkeepsie. 13 victims of child sex abuse sue Devereux Behavioral Health for negligence staff abuse

Thirteen adult survivors of childhood sex abuse are now  suing Devereux Behavioral Health, alleging the nonprofit knew about, yet failed to stop the sex abuse. The victims claim that the staff knew about the sexual  misconduct that was going on and did nothing to stop it or help the children. The victims, all minors at the time of abuse,  some as young as 8 when the alleged abuse took place, remained  anonymous  in the complaint to protect their privacy.  The abuse occurred during the 10  year period of  2004 – 2014. Rev. John Daly, a former Imperial County priest, accused of child sex abuse decades ago

A few years ago, a lawsuit was filed  by a man who said he was molested by The Rev. John Daly, a former Imperial County priest, when he was a young boy and attended the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Diego. According to the lawsuit, church officials did nothing about the reports of sex abuse to a minor by the former Imperial County priest. The man claimed  the diocese transferred Rev. Archdiocese of New Orleans removes two priests under sexual abuse allegations

Two priests have been removed from its ministry at the Archdiocese of New Orleans as of yesterday, due to allegations of child sex abuse.  Reverend Patrick Wattigny was accused of  sexually abusing  a child back  in 2013. His name will be added to the list of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Clergy Abuse Report. The second priest, Reverend Travis Clark, was accused of obscenity with women, an although his  charge  is not related to sexually abusing  a minor, his conduct ws not tolerated. Fr. Diocese of Rockville Center files bankruptcy; won’t stop victims from having a voice

The Diocese of Rockville Centre on Long Island, a Roman Catholic diocese in suburban New York filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy yesterday. The Diocese of Rockville Centre had been accused of sexual abuse allegations against children and named in over 200 lawsuits. Three Former Priests settle lawsuit offering millions to adult victims of child sex abuse from decades ago

    Three former Massachusetts priests, Fr. Sylvio Ruest, Fr. John Salvucci and Fr. T. Raymond Sullivan, who were charged with child abuse have settled a lawsuit this week that will give millions to the victims. Decades ago these priests served in churches in Bellingham, Billerica and Dracut. Fr. Joseph Comperchio, former Catholic school teacher, accused of sexually abusing students 40 years ago

Joseph Comperchio, a former Michigan Catholic school teacher,  has been accused of child sex abuse dating back 40 years ago.   Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office has been conducting an ongoing investigation  into clergy abuse. James Collins, former coach at at the Boys & Girls Club, accused of sexually abusing children

  James Collins, a former supervisor, mentor, coach, and counselor at the Boys & Girls Club in Northern Westchester in Mount Kisco, N.Y. has been accused by four men of repeatedly sexually abusing  them when they were children. George DeCosta, Former Priest, accused of sex abuse at Music Ministry Alive Music camp
