Mario Rodriguez-Ramirez, former pastor, accused of sexually abusing young girl

   Tempe police have spent the past 6 months investigating 48-year-old Mario Rodriguez-Ramirez, a man who was once a pastor. Police said the  sexual abuse began in 2015, when the little girl was just 9 years old and he was the pastor of her Church.  Rodriguez-Ramirez took the victim and two other children to Kiwanis Park in Tempe, where he allegedly hugged and kissed the girl inappropriately  when she reached the ground after going down the slide, police say. Brian David Trostel, teacher accused of sexually abusing student

    Brian David Trostel, a teacher at Sherwood High School, has been charged with  29 charges of  sexual abuse of a child, according to court documents. Trostel, age 60,  lived in Portland and taught at Sherwood High. Church Cult Jehovah’s Witnesses accused of child sex abuse allegations

    Fairbridge Restored Limited, a former Christian group often described as a “cult” has become  the only institution that has not  joined the National Redress Scheme for victims of child sexual abuse, despite having a combined 77 claims  of child sex abuse against them. Kenja Communication, Fairbridge Restored Limited, and Jehovah’s Witnesses, will no longer be eligible for government grants and could possibly lose their charitable status for tax purposes after deciding not to sign on to the scheme by the end of 2020, which denied victims recourse to compensation. High School teacher in Ohio accused of child sex abuse against student

  The School District in Shaker Heights City announced last week that an employee at Onaway Elementary School was charged with felony child sex abuse.  Joan L. Meyer, 45, was the library media specialist at Onaway Elementary School  ad charges have been filed. Meyer is accused of sex crimes that began in 2009. She allegedly performed sexual acts with her student, a teenage boy, at Two Rivers Public Charter School.  One of her alleged victims, now age 24,  contacted her employer in June of 2019, according to records. New revival laws discussed in North Dakota to file lawsuits for child sex abuse

  Republican and Democratic state legislatures are trying to revise North Dakota’s statute of limitation laws  to open up new windows of time for survivors of child sex abuse to file civil lawsuits against their perpetrators in courts. Rev. Michael Tierney, now deceased, named in several lawsuits alleging sex abuse of altar boys

    Rev. Michael Tierney, a priest from the Kansas City-area, also  one of the named priests on the list of clergy credibly accused of sexually abusing minors, has passed away at age 76.  The Rev. Michael Tierney died on Dec. 15, 2020.  Tierney had been named in several  civil lawsuits that accused him of sexual abuse of minors. Insurance company representing Diocese of Brooklyn claims issues on paying settlement to sex abuse victims

    The Diocese of Brooklyn is represented by an insurance company that claims it should not be responsible for any payments to the victims who were sexually abused by the Diocese’s priests.  The  federal lawsuit  was filed this week and the insurance company, Arrowood Indemnity Company, has asked  the court to rule that it should not be obligated to indemnify the Diocese or defend them. Teenage girls in Rehab at Hawthorne Cedar Knolls forced to be sex slaves

  Hawthorne Cedar Knolls, located in a small town near New York City, is known for it’s beautiful landscaping and peace and quiet. Pleasantville Cottage School named in lawsuit alleging reports of child sex abuse ignored

  David Burgos was just 13 when he claims he was abused back in the 1980’s in a foster care home. Back then, he was sent to group home for troubled kids, called Pleasantville Cottage School, which was located  in Westchester County. Father Woody added to list of credibly accused of sexually molesting children

    Father C.B. Woodrich, also referred to as “Father Woody”, was well known  in the Catholic church for his charitable work with the homeless. He is now also well known for allegedly sexually abusing three young  boys in the 1970s and 1980s. “Father Woody,” is now on the list of credibly accused priests who have sexually bused children decades ago.
