St Cloud Diocese settles lawsuit filed by adult victims of childhood sex abuse by clergy

  The Catholic Diocese of St. Cloud has settled a law suit for accusations of clergy sex abuse.  The $22.5 million  settlement by the diocese is meant to compensate the sex abuse survivors accusing priests of molesting them decades ago. High Court Overturns sex abuse conviction of High Ranking Catholic Official Cardinal Pell

Australia’s High Court unanimously overturned the conviction of Cardinal George Pell and he has been freed from prison. Pell had been convicted of five counts of historical child sex abuse. Yesterday,  Chief Justice Susan Kiefel, after a five-year legal battle, put an end to what began when a man in his 30s approached police and accused Cardinal Pell of sexually abusing him as a child in the mid-1990s. $21.7 Million verdict is upheld in Rabbi Sex abuse case

A Connecticut Rabbi accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a teenage boy in the early 2000’s was sentenced to 12 years in prison last month.  The accuser, Eliyahu Mirlis, now 32, filed a civil lawsuit in federal court against Rabbi Daniel  Greer, now 79 in 2016. Mirlis said Greer sexually abused him in 2002 and 2003 when he attended the Yeshiva of New Haven that Rabbi Greer founded. A federal appeals court  last month upheld a $21.7 million verdict against Rabbi Greer and a three-judge panel of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York City rejected the appeal.  […]

Former Olympian swimmer settles lawsuit with USA Swimming amongst allegations of sex abuse

  At just age 13, Olympic swimmer, Ariana Kukors Smith, began the nightmare of what soon would become years of sex abuse by her Olympic Coach, Sean Hutchinson. Ariana, a record breaking swimmer at the Seattle Washington KING Aquatic cub, a middle schooler, was 18 years younger than her coach when he started grooming her for a sexual relationship.
